How to use Foundry from start to finish.

Foundry helps you work out what you can build, what materials are missing, where those materials are, and whether the build is likely to be profitable.

What Can I Build?

1

Log in with EVE

Start by connecting the EVE character you want to use. Foundry stores a private session cookie so each page only shows the currently logged-in character.

If you switch characters, use the Switch or Logout button in the header first.

Log in with EVE
2

Sync your assets

Go to the dashboard and sync assets. This imports your visible EVE inventory into the warehouse, including stations, structures, containers, ships, and asset safety wraps.

If a location says Unknown Structure, ESI can see your assets are there but cannot reveal the private structure name to Foundry.

3

Sync your blueprints

Open the blueprints page and sync. Foundry will read your BPOs and BPCs, including ME, TE, runs, and location.

Open Blueprints
4

Confirm build locations

Foundry only lets the calculator use saved locations marked as manufacturing-capable. Confirm the structures or stations where you can actually start industry jobs.

Set facility tax and SCC surcharge here. The system cost index is pulled automatically from ESI when the solar system is known.

Use What Can I Build?

This is the recommended newbro tool. It scans your owned blueprints, checks materials at the selected build location, pulls prices, estimates job costs, and ranks build options.

Use the calculator for a specific blueprint

If you already know what you want to build, use the calculator. It shows required materials, missing stock, logistics warnings, price assumptions, job cost, and estimated profit.

Understand Alpha vs Omega

Foundry Alpha is focused on newbro-safe Tech I manufacturing. Foundry Omega unlocks higher-tier calculations for advanced industry.

Omega access is manually activated and paid in ISK.

Important beta notes

Profit is an estimate

Market prices, taxes, broker fees, system cost index, and material valuation can change. Use Foundry as a decision aid, not a guarantee.

Private structures may stay unknown

If ESI refuses to reveal a player structure name, Foundry will show Unknown Structure plus the ID. That usually means a private structure access limitation.

Loose vs inside container matters

Materials inside ships, containers, or wraps may need unpacking or moving before they are ready to build.

Report weird results

If a profit number looks too high, too low, or suspicious, report the blueprint and location. Some rare or manipulated items may need stricter filtering.
